This award is intended to recognize a business or individual that contributed notably to not only their image in the past year but the community as well.

Educator of the Year: Vikki Kelley

This award is intended to recognize a local educator who has contributed in an extra special way to their students, school and community.

Citizen of the Year: Veronica Gildner

This award is intended to recognize an individual who exemplifies excellence in volunteering, community service and leadership with their hard work, integrity and dedication to Cheboygan.

Business Person of the Year: Clarence Roznowski

This award is intended to recognize an individual who is a Chamber member that exemplifies excellence in their field and leadership with their hard work, integrity and dedication to their workplace and Cheboygan.

Business of the Year: Geri Kane, Modern Pharmacy

This award is intended to recognize a Chamber member business that exemplifies commitment and dedication to the community, superior service and professionalism in the their field.

Directors Choice Award: Jaki Tallman

The Directors Choice Award is a new award this year which is picked exclusively by the Executive Director. This award is designed to highlight a member person or business for their contributions to the community, longevity, and dedication to the people and business community of Cheboygan.

Volunteer of the Year Award: Mary Brown

This award is chosen by the Executive Director and the Events Coordinator for their dedication and help with events in the Cheboygan community throughout the year.

The wait is over! After months of planning, designing, and building the Cheboygan Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the release of our new website, logo, and tagline.  Built by Northern Lights Creative Marketing of Cheboygan, the goal of our new site is to make it easier for locals and visitors to find the vital products and services they need from our member businesses.  The member directory is much easier to navigate and a mapping feature allows visitors to see exactly where many member businesses are in the area.

At the same time, the site is designed with the visitor in mind, highlighting many of the activities and events going on in the community.  While the old site has served us well, it was severely outdated, difficult to edit, and not friendly to the user.  The internet of today is much different than the internet was when the Chamber’s site was first launched over fifteen years ago.  In fact, nothing from the old site was carried over – it is a complete rebuild from the ground up.

This is one of many ways the Chamber is committed to increasing commerce in the area and to support our member businesses.

We invite you to take a look around the site and explore all of the time, talent, energy and creativity that has gone into making this the finest Chamber of Commerce website in Michigan.

Ribbon Cutting at Moran Iron Works

On Thursday, January 12th, The Cheboygan Area Chamber of Commerce joined the employees of Moran Iron Works in Cheboygan for a Business After Hours and Ribbon Cutting.  Attendees were able to enjoy a delicious spread of hors d’oeuvres while networking and touring the impressive new facility.  After brief presentations, a ceremonial ribbon cutting with the Chamber Ambassadors on the factory floor marked the beginning of what we wish to be a very prosperous and successful operation. Congratulations!
