    Cheboygan is a great place to live and raise a family.     Our businesses have a sense of community, too, and the member businesses of the Cheboygan Area Chamber of Commerce reflect that fact. We believe in doing business locally wherever and whenever possible and in pitching in for good causes.

    Our Service Organizations:

    We have active and vital service organizations in Cheboygan and every week of the year the members of these organizations are doing good work to help Cheboygan and its citizens make progress in building a brighter and brighter future throughout northern Michigan and the Straits of Mackinac region.

    We also have an active and important Jaycees organization in Cheboygan. The Jaycees sponsor the annual Wanigan Race in August and help support other service organizations and community charities throughout the year.

    Cheboygan Area Jaycees
    A non-profit organization formed in the Cheboygan Area in 1984 made up of young men and women age 21-40. The energetic Jaycees sponsor events throughout the year to raise money for local families in need, run a Christmas Wishes charity program, award an outstanding local student volunteer with a $1000 scholarship plus many more charitable contributions.The Cheboygan Jaycees also sponsor the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Haunting, Wanigan Festival and new this year will be the Waterways Ice Festival and Kids Day during the Cheboygan Riverfest.The Jaycees meet at Mulligans Restaurant at 320 N Main St. every 1st Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. We believe service to humanity is the best work of life.
