The Opera House

The Opera House, originally constructed in 1877, was restored in 1984. This acoustically superb theater has become a focal point for entertainment in the Straits Area. Audiences have enjoyed a variety of performances from Roy Clark, the Detroit Symphony and the Dallas Brass. Cheboygan also has its own community theater company known as the Northland Players.

The Opera House is located at 403 N. Huron St. in downtown Cheboygan. Box Office hours are Tuesday through Friday 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM, with additional hours on the days of performances. Summer tours are available Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 - 4:00, with winter tours available by appointment.
